Camping trip to Maine - September 15, 2017 - Day Three - Cathedral Pines Campground, Eustis, Maine to Mount Desert Campground, Mount Desert, ME

We got up, had breakfast, packed up and were on the road before 10:00. We didn't want to leave too early in case our campsite wasn't ready as checking time is 1:00. We zigzagged through Maine to get to our second stop. We are staying just outside Acadia National Park since they have better amenities i.e. showers and electric. We have the senior pass so we will be able to get into Acadia when we want for free. We arrived after 1:00 and got set up. The campground is mostly tents and no trailers longer than 20 feet are allowed so it's different than most parks with the big rigs. After setting up we drove around a bit and got an early dinner at Thurston's, a place that was recommended to us, that is right down at the piers where they bring in their catch. We had lobster, corn, coleslaw, roll,  blueberry cake and a beer. It was delicious. We drove around a little more exploring and then went back to the trailer to read.
