Today it was off to Bar Harbor. We'll play tourist and check out the "big city". We had to park quite a distance away from the village square area but we didn't mind the walk. We did later see where the city center parking was. We drifted in and out of store and picked up a few souvenirs i.e. T- shirts, hats, etc. Stopped at a little cafe and Ron had a panini and I had some clam chowder. We also wandered through the art display they had in the Village Green. There were quite a few people but we were glad we went today instead of waiting until tomorrow. A carnival Cruise was coming in and they were expecting a crowd since there were 4200 passengers and 1800 crew members that will descend on the village. I can't imagine that or the crowds there must be in the summer. From there we went and did a beer tasting at Atlantic Brewing Company. I preferred the Summer Ale - a wheat beer - no surprise - and Ron likes the Real - a stout but it's not too heavy - he had this the other day at Thurston's. Right next to the brewery is Mainely Meats Bar-B-Que, so we stopped there for dinner and both had the sampler platter - ribs, chicken, pulled pork, hot Italian Sausage, corn bread, slaw and potato salad. It was really delicious and we brought home leftovers. Back at the camper we hit the showers and then played cribbage. I won 2 out of 3!
