Camping trip to Maine - September 18, 2017 - Day Six- Mount Desert Campground, Mount Desert, ME

Happy "date-aversary",as Christine named it, to us - 47 years! We decided to go back into Acadia and see if we could see some of the places that were so crowded on Saturday. Surprisingly there were still areas where the parking was full. We did get down to Seal Harbor though and we went and did some exploring. We visited the beach, dock and stopped at an antique store and at the Lighthouse Restaurant for cups of Seafood Chowder. Then we went into the Stanley Brook entrance to the park with goal of stopping at Eagle Lake. When we got there we took a different trail, the Witch Hole Trail, which wasn't so steep. We mixed the carriage road with Ron's off trail trail and walked about 6 miles. We peeked at Eagle Lake and then decided to head back to Southwest Harbor for more food at Beal's Pier. It was foggy, the air was heavy and damp all day but we ate outside looking at the water anyway. Instead of a whole lobster we went with lobster rolls - I had the traditional with buttah and Ron had his with garlic and buttah. They were scrumptious. I dare say we had more lobster than if we had bought a whole small lobster. So good. Back to the camper and put some things away getting ready to leave the next day, showered and round 2 of cribbage. I won both games so I have bragging rights for this trip anyway.

Happy Anniversary Babe!
